Hi, I am Nomad Patel – Why I Am Writing This?
On January 05, 2026, I took morning bus from Amravati to Chhindwada. When I searched Amravati to Chhindwada bus ticket price, Mahuli bus stop, Mahendragiri last village in Maharashtra, Banoda village – I found zero real info. Only timetable copy-paste.
Most websites just show timetable – No story, no village names, no feeling how journey actually is. So I decided I will note down EVERY small village bus passed, so readers of nomadpatel.in get full route.
This is my full stop-by-stop story – Mahuli, Morshi, Warud, Banoda, Mahendragiri, Bangaon, Pandhurna, Sausar, Ramakona to Chhindwada. 220 KM, 2 states.

My Bus Details – What I Experienced
My bus was Warud depot ordinary bus. Red MSRTC bus. Number MH 14 MH 1951 on side and front.
This bus started from Warud, came to Amravati CBS at 8:25 AM and left for Chhindwada at 8:30 AM. Conductor told me bus number changes daily, so don’t depend on fixed number you see online.
I paid Rs 330 for my ticket from Amravati to Chhindwada. Total distance around 220 KM in 6 hours. I reached Chhindwada at 2 PM.
I wrote in my diary same day – “Amravati to Chhindwada – 05-01-2026 – Ticket Rs 330 – Warud depot MH 14 MH 1951 – 220 KM – 6 hours – My own notes, not official ticket – nomadpatel.in | 05-01-2026”
Stop 1: Amravati Central Bus Stand – 0 KM – 8:30 AM Departure
Amravati CBS was full crowd at 8 AM. Full chaos. People shouting, conductors shouting “Chhindwada, Chhindwada”, chai wale shouting “chai garam”. Full smell of diesel and samosa fry.
Enquiry told me Platform 7. I went there. Conductor was middle-aged man, thick mustache, strict face.
“Chhindwada?” he asked.
I said “Yes”.
He said “Rs 330. Sit anywhere.”
I found window seat near middle. Seat was old, little torn. I sat, took out my notebook. I bought ticket inside bus. Bus started at 8:30 AM sharp.
Stop 2: Mahuli Village – Around 45 KM from Amravati – Passed at 9:15 AM
After leaving Amravati city – Amravati is famous for cotton and soybean farms – we came on Amravati-Morshi highway. After 45 minutes, we passed Mahuli village.
Mahuli is small village, about 45 KM from Amravati. Bus did not stop properly, only slow and took 2 people from roadside. I saw green fields, small Shiva temple on left side, women taking water from well with pots on head. Place was quiet, green.
Many websites miss this village, but I noted because I was on window seat. If you search Amravati to Mahuli distance by bus, it is around 45 KM. From Mahuli, Morshi is only 8 KM more.

Stop 3: Morshi Bus Stand – 53 KM – 9:40 AM – 10 Minutes Halt
We reached Morshi at 9:40 AM. Morshi bus stand is new, cement floor, clean. Behind there is depot workshop, 2-3 mechanics working on broken bus. Many daily passengers got down here.
I got down for leg stretch. I ate kachori at platform 1 – Rs 20 for 2 pieces. Very tasty. If you search what to eat at Morshi bus stand, try this kachori.
Then bus gave two horns – Means time to go. I ran back with second kachori in hand and got in bus fast.
Stop 4: Warud – 90 KM from Amravati – 10:30 AM – 15 Min Diesel Halt
From Morshi to Warud took about 1 hour, 37 KM more, total 90 KM from Amravati. Morshi to Warud road is best – Full cement concrete road, smooth.
One place I saw Wardha River flowing near road. Water was brown, some buffalo drinking water at bank.
One woman sitting opposite me had basket full of oranges. Warud is famous for orange.
I asked – “Are those from your farm?”
She smiled and said in Marathi – “We sell them at Chhindwada market.”
We reached Warud at 10:30 AM. Warud is called Santranagari – Orange City. In January full orange trees – Both sides of road orange color.
Warud bus stand has 6 platforms. Our bus went inside Warud depot for diesel. Halt 15 minutes.
I bought Santra Barfi for Rs 50 outside, water bottle Rs 20. I talked to one old man standing near platform.
I asked – “Sir, ithun Chhindwada kiti laamb aahe?”
He said – “About 125 KM from here. 2 more hours, maybe more.”
If you search Warud to Chhindwada distance, it is 125 KM from here.
Stop 5: Banoda Village – Around 110 KM from Amravati – Passed at 11:00 AM
After Warud, we passed Banoda village. Banoda is around 110 KM from Amravati.
Bus did not stop at proper stand, only roadside halt. I saw big banyan tree, 4-5 men playing cards under it, one boy selling sugarcane juice. Very slow village life.
Bus took 3 people from here.
If you search Banoda village on Amravati Chhindwada route, it is small but important for local people. From Banoda, Mahendragiri is only 12 KM ahead. Banoda to Mahendragiri took 15-20 minutes.
My diary note: “Passed Banoda – small, peaceful village. Men playing cards under banyan tree. Sugarcane juice vendor busy. 110 KM from Amravati. Bus did not stop but nice place.”
Stop 6: Mahendragiri – Around 122 KM – Last Village in Maharashtra – 11:15 AM
Mahendragiri is last village in Maharashtra on this route before MP starts.
We reached around 11:15 AM. Distance from Amravati around 122 KM. Here full change – Fields less, dense forest both sides. Road starts turning.
Mahendragiri has small bus stop, 2-3 shops, small temple. I saw children playing cricket near stop. They waved to our bus.
I asked conductor – “MP border kiti lamb aahe?”
He said – “Next stop, Bangaon. Just 3-4 KM.”
Stop 7: Bangaon – Around 125 KM – First Village in Madhya Pradesh – 11:20 AM
Just 3-4 KM after Mahendragiri, we crossed Wardha River bridge. This river is border.
After bridge, we entered Bangaon.
Bangaon is first village in Madhya Pradesh on this route. One small board – “Welcome to Madhya Pradesh”. Bus slow, no checking, but you feel change – Signboards in Hindi more.
If you search first village in MP after Amravati route, it is Bangaon.
Stop 8: Pandhurna – Around 130 KM – 11:30 AM – First Big Town in MP
Just after Bangaon, we reached Pandhurna at 11:30 AM. Pandhurna is first big town in MP.
Bus stopped for 5 minutes at small platform, not big bus stand. 4-5 people got down.
I got down and had chai. Strong and sweet. Chai vendor told me – “Chhindwada 90 KM, but ghat aage kharab hai, 2 ghanta lagega.” Here people speak more Hindi.
Stop 9: Sausar – Around 160 KM – 1:00 PM – Lunch Halt
From Pandhurna, forest became more dense. Road had small potholes. We reached Sausar at 1:00 PM. Sausar is taluka town in Chhindwada district. Bus stand small with benches and ticket window.
This was lunch halt – 15 minutes. I had poha. If you search Sausar to Chhindwada distance, it is 54 KM from here.
Stop 10: Ramakona – Around 185 KM – 1:30 PM – Ghat Starts
After Sausar, we passed Ramakona village full forest around. Then ghat started.
Stop 11: Silewani Ghat Section – 1:30 PM to 1:55 PM – Most Beautiful
Silewani Ghat is forest ghat with curves, small streams, one waterfall. No mobile network here. Driver drove slowly, careful.
Right side window gives best valley view. If you have motion sickness, take tablet before this ghat. I sat on right side and saw full valley.
Stop 12: Chhindwada Bus Stand – 220 KM – 2:00 PM – Final
We came out of ghat and entered Chhindwada city. Reached bus stand at 2:00 PM. Total 6 hours.
I covered 220 KM, crossed 2 states, ate 2 kachoris, made one young friend who was going for exam, and full diary notes. I was fully tired but happy.
